It’s not what you do, it’s how you do it. It’s not what you see, it’s how you look. It’s not how your life is, it’s how you live it.
Life is not only about a successful job or getting a promotion. Life is about the impact you make on those around you and doing your job well whatever that may be.
For example, a manager in a popular hotel can take vacation for a month and the company will still run smoothly, no one will be directly affected whereas the cleaner could be off for one day and the whole company would not only notice but need his presence or a substitute asap.
The beauty of this world is that we are all born equal. We are all from the One God and to Him we shall all return. We enter this world & take our very first breathe and when we leave this world we take our very last one…all of us, without exception.
Sometimes learning the Deen is hard work. It’s a struggle most of us can relate to. You are learning a new way of life and one of the best ways to learn is to make mistakes. Mistakes are not sins. Sins are things that you do knowing that it is wrong, a mistake is something you do out of lack of knowledge.
There’s no doubt that Islam requires commitment and sometimes the most difficult part is to actually start. Start to Pray. Start to learn about Allah, about the Prophet (Sall Allāhu ʿalay-hi wa-sallam). Start anywhere but just start. Seek Help in Allah along your journey every single day and you will find Him. He will help you.
