You are not a bad person. Your sadness does not mean you are a weak Muslim. There is nothing wrong with your Imaan and you are allowed to feel tired.
I once watched a lady around 70 years old, thin and frail pray on her hands and knees. Subhan’Allah it was so humbling to watch someone reach such an age and the Deen is implanted on every wrinkle, every ache of the limbs and their jihad to stand up and prostrate is inspiring beyond words.
May Allah make us of those who prayed their whole life’s and always asked for forgiveness. May Allah forgive all the believing men and all the believing women.
There’s no doubt that some days you struggle. Some days your Nafs is out of control and you honestly feel like a failure. Just remember, your mistakes do not define you. Allah’s Mercy is more than you can ever imagine. Different people get tested in different ways. Allah is Just, He will only test you with what you can bear.
There is no shortcut. It takes time to build a better, stronger version of yourself & if prayer becomes a habit, success becomes a lifestyle.
No matter how hard things are right now and regardless of how complicated life gets, don’t let anyone make you feel worthless. You are precious because you are from the Ummah of the most precious.
And remember, Allah’s Messenger (Sall Allāhu ʿalay-hi wa-sallam) said, Allah said: “I have prepared for my slaves (such excellent things) as no eye has ever seen, no ear has ever heard nor a human heart can ever think of.”
[Sunan Ibn Majah]
‘O Allah strengthen me in my religion. Help me to remember You, to be grateful to You and to worship You in an excellent manner.’
