The truth is, we all sin differently. Know that if people are impressed with you, in reality they are impressed with the beauty of Allah’s covering of your sins. So, before you “hate” someone, stop and think about everything Allah has forgiven you for and don’t ever regret being good to the people that did you wrong. Give people the benefit of the doubt, when someone does something that hurts you, make a promise to yourself and to Allah that you will never do the same thing to anyone else. Mercy others just as you will need Mercy on the Day of Judgement.
A person who has good thoughts cannot ever be ugly. You can have a wonky nose and a crooked mouth and a double chin and stick-out teeth, but if you have good thoughts they will shine out of your face like sunbeams and you will always look lovely.”
― Roald Dahl.
J’aurais dû être plus gentile — I should have been more kind.
That is something a person will never regret. You will never say to yourself when you are old, ‘Ah, I wish I was not good to that person.’ You will never think that.
– Khaled Hosseini
Remember you are a traveller. This Dunya is not your final destination. If Allah made this Earth and human life as our final home, He would have created life without death. What a satisfying thought for everyone, poor, rich, atheist, Christian, Muslim or whatever you are!
We all agree that we have one life in this Dunya (earth) you will take no one, no possession, no house, no animal, nothing that you love will you be able to take with you, when you die. Therefore, you don’t own anything it’s all just an illusion. We all belong to Allah. The only thing you carry with you is your soul and the good things you done in this life, the smallest act of charity can be multiplied between 10-700 times by Him in sha Allah and any bad deed you do will be accounted for only once.
Meaning do something good and it will be multiplied, do one bad thing it will be counted for as one bad thing, SubhanAllah.
So keep doing good, and striving to do good. Until your Lord calls you back home.
“Wash your heart every morning with salat,
then warm it up with dhikr.
Approach life with hope and faith.
Every day do your best, Allah will do the rest.”
