A good Muslim is a good human being.

If you are a practicing Muslim and you never miss a Prayer, Alhamdulillah. This means you are Muslim, to pray five prayers does not make one pious – it makes one Muslim. If you know someone praying less than you – or perhaps not praying at all, humble yourself they are clearly struggling. Never let this act of worship make you feel better than others for, ‘he who has in his heart the weight of a mustard seed of Pride shall not enter Paradise.” – Prophet Muhammad Sall Allāhu ʿalay-hi wa-sallam.

Shaytan tries to split the Ummah by making us look down on one another. Never assume yourself to be more pious than anyone else.

“Beware! Sincere true obedience is due to God alone!” Surah 39 Ayah 3; Holy Qur’an.

I watched an interview recently about a gangster, in and out of jail who – Subhan’Allah – turned to Islam… turned to Allah.
Despite the odds he made it.

Even God does not plan to judge a man until the end of his days, why should you & I?

One of the best ways to prevent these thoughts happening is to keep our good deeds and efforts out of everybody else’s eyes and ears. Do good but don’t tell people about it. If you gave in charity, don’t go and tell everyone that you see . Actually, try and forget about it yourself. Keep it that private. So that you forget it like it was nothing and it remains with Allah alone. No one else.

Another thing to do is to remember your sins. The really humiliating ones. Realise that you fell into them, and you are no better then anybody else, cause you are human too, and are prone to sin. You sin by night and by day, even if it is not always major sins. You still sin, and always can fall back into sin. By being arrogant thinking you are better than people because of how much you ‘practice’, is a sin in itself, this shows, all of us, are always needing to improve. Focus on yourself, and not the person beside you. And that you are in need of guidance just as much as they are. Even if you practice very much, we always need the guidance of Allah subḥānahu wa ta’āla.

Shaikh Muhammad Al-Ghazali was asked, “What is the ruling of the one who left the prayer?”
He replied, “The ruling is for you to take them along with you to the mosque.Be a caller, not a judge.”

As long as you are standing, give a hand to those who have fallen.”  – Persian Proverb.
