If you’re not losing friends then you’re not growing up.

If you ask a Muslim do you love Allah? You can be certain the reply will be “Yes.”

If you ask a Muslim do you fear Allah? What will the reply be? Some might say “Yes,” some might say “No.” Some, might not comprehend the question…

He loves us more than we could ever love Him. He loves us more than a mother loves her baby so what is there to fear?

Should we Fear Allah? The Compassionate (Ar-Ra’oof), The Protecting Friend (Al-Waliyy)  The Loving (Al-Wadud)…

To fear Him is to be Conscious of Him. It’s so easy to do the Haram things, it’s the easiest thing in the world. But to abstain yourself, knowing Allah is watching… is to Fear Him. To Fear being led astray, to know how it feels to be lost & never wanting to go back there.

Hope is good as long as it doesn’t become delusion. Fear is good as long as it doesn’t become despair.
— Shaykh Omar Suleiman

Some people will love you… some people will hate you & in both cases it probably has nothing to do with you.

Subhan’Allah even people hated the Prophet (saw) the most perfect human being in terms of character. He showed mercy to everything around him, before he was a prophet he was known as As-Saddiq (The Truthful) & Al-Amin (The Trustworthy) – yet people hated him.

Umar Ibn Al Khattab set out to kill him.

His neighbour would thrown rubbish on him every single day.

As long as you are true to yourself, you believe in Allah and your actions are a reflection of that – it doesn’t matter if people still hate you or criticise you… You know and Trust Allah
So be your own protector and your own best friend.

So the next time they ask you
Why you wear that on your head
Don’t tell them it’s for modesty
Don’t tell them that it’s because you heard it’s wrong not to
Don’t tell them
That it’s to protect you from strange men…
These may be mere benefits but it’s not why
Tell them the truth
Tell them:
“This is what my Lord ordered me to do, so I am doing it
And you will never understand
Why I would do such a thing for my Lord
Until you know how much I love Him
And you will never know how much I love Him
Until you know about Him
So sit down my friend
And let me tell you about The One
To whom my heart, body and soul
Belong.”
